My wife has been seeing Dr. James Winston for years. He is very knowlegable and takes the time to hear what you are saying. He diagnosed my wife with a seizure disorder after listening to me and my wife. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. James Winston literally saved my life. Beyond that, he has worked hard to allow me to enjoy life. Dr. Winston is truly compassionate, caring and easy to share your darkest feelings with. He listens carefully, can truly empathize and brings hope to handle your greatest difficulties. Perhaps most importantly, he is a master with medications and is extremely knowledgeable of all facets of the entire central nervous system, all major organs and the interplay among the mind, body, hormones, psychoactive and non-psychoactive drugs, etc. One feels very safe under his care and genuinely positive regarding relief form one’s issues. Overall, he is the finest Doctor of any specialty I have ever known. As necessary, he has very carefully referred me to other Doctors when his tremendous knowledge base signals the need. In my case, this has included a Cardiologist, Neurologist and extremely capable Internist. These referrals have uncovered both new and collateral issues critical to my health. Also, as the CEO of American Behavioral Clinics, he has a terrific staff of Therapists with a wide range of multiple specialties for one to work through complex, long term issues of every day life, patterns of thinking, etc. I am 66 years old and have been a patient of Dr. Winston for 13 years. My afflictions have been moderate to very major depression, anxiety and ADD. Realistically in my case, I cannot expect to be wholly “cured” but he has made these things manageable. I feel so blessed to have him in my corner. Additionally, his administrative staff are very caring and genuine.

I have had mostly good experiences at ABC. My daughter has been going there for about a year. I see someone else said they were rude about Medicaid, but I have Medicaid and they not only accept it but are very nice about it...

Hey Alicia they do accept state insurance Not sure what or why they told u that. I have Badger Care plus United Health Care.

Staff is great. Receptionist is always pleasant. I switched to this clinic because the one closer to my house has awful staff. I see the same Doctor and he is great! Very helpful.

American Behavioral Clinics (ABC) has the best Doctors and Therapists offering the personal, caring experience that I have not found anywhere else. I am treated with the utmost respect and professionalism that I consider the very best in Wisconsin. I have been in treatment for the better part of my life and only started to find recovery from my addictions when I became a client at ABC. I recommend American Behavioral Clinics to everyone in need of the best professional, personalized services in mental health in the Mid West.
